PROJECT HOPE: OUR MISSION
Project Hope is a major effort to reach out to and serve the community of the Stateline area. We want to put forth our best effort to serve people with excellence, and most importantly, to demonstrate the love of Jesus to everyone we serve in real and practical ways.
PROJECT HOPE: COMMITTED TO SERVE
Our first Project Hope day was in September of 2009, and it was amazing. We had projects all over the Stateline area, doing everything from working on homes of senior citizens, to giving away food, to putting on a carnival at a farm, to a free clinic with medical services here at the CCC campus.
God showed up in amazing ways with our first Project Hope Day! Our efforts to reach out to children, the elderly, veterans, and people needing medical help were anointed by the Holy Spirit. Since last fall, some teams have even had ongoing ministry with those they served. God has been moving, and we feel that even more can be accomplished with Project Hope.
PROJECT HOPE: WHAT'S AHEAD
We're moving toward making Project Hope a year-round ministry. We hope to have two large scale events a year, one in the spring and one in the fall. Ministry teams and projects will be encouraged to do other ongoing ministry in their areas of service on a year round basis as well. It is an exciting transition for Project Hope, to move from a one day event, to what we believe will be even more fruitful outreach ministry to our community.
Plans are moving forward to have a Project Hope day on Saturday, May 1, 2010. It's going to be great, and we'd love to have you involved. Project Leader positions are being filled until March 14, 2010. If you have an idea for a project you want to lead, or you would like to just volunteer for that day, please complete the Project Hope Volunteer Form (see back of brochure). Please turn in completed Volunteer Forms at the Project Hope Booth. Forms may also be mailed or dropped off at the Central main office as well.
