Big Serve Day

We have lined up multiple work projects for that Saturday morning and are starting to put together a list of volunteer opportunities. If you would like to help lead a team or work project, contact Joel Otto at firstname.lastname@example.org, or 608.362.7663 x12. You can also fill out the form below. If you check that you want to volunteer, please also indicate any specific work skills you have, for example: painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, landscaping, etc. You will hear a lot more about BIG SERVE DAY during the month of July.
Volunteer Sign Up
Meet here at the church in the Dream Center at 8:30 a.m. for final details / prayer. Then we will break into assigned teams and go out to serve.
We have the following projects lined up for BIG SERVE DAY:
Head Start of Beloit
We are going to help give the Head Start building a makeover - painting some classrooms, doing thorough cleaning, and organizing.
Stateline Boys and Girls Club
We will be doing projects at both the Beloit and South Beloit locations. We are going to help give areas of both facilities a facelift. We will be painting some rooms / areas, and also going through and organizing storage areas / equipment / supplies.
Homeless Students in the Beloit School District
We will be organizing some of the clothing closet areas at different buildings. We will also be doing some decorating / giving some of these areas a face lift as well.
Project 16:49 / Robin’s House
We will be working with this community group that serves homeless teenage students in our community, and also Robin’s house where some of them live. Projects will include cleaning, organizing, and some outside work.
Stateline Family Services
We will be doing different projects at the home they have here in Beloit for victims of domestic violence. This will involve cleaning, organizing, maybe some painting, cleaning up landscaping, etc.
Stateline Pregnancy Center
They are in the process of moving to a new location. We may be moving items, helping paint, organizing and packing up items to be moved, unpacking items in their new location. There may also be some outdoor work in the yard / building of the new location.
Homes Around the Stateline Area
We will be working on multiple homes around the Stateline area. We are looking for team members willing to do yardwork (bring your yard tools), painting, cleaning and organizing. We will be doing all kinds of projects from constructing a handicapped accessible ramp to cleaning up people’s yards. The people we are helping fall into one of the following demographics: widows, senior adults, disabled people, veterans.
