What to expect
at Central?

You are

welcome here.

At Central, you'll be welcomed into a friendly, casual environment by people who are excited to see you. We want you to have an idea of what to expect when you arrive. All you have to do from here is come as you are and find out for yourself!

At a weekend service,

you can expect:

Find your next step including:

  • A place to belong.

Classes are the people you can grow, laugh, and serve with. We have groups for men, women, and students.

  • A chance to make a difference.

God created you with gifts and skills that you can use to change lives in your community and the world. Become a difference maker and begin serving at Central.

  • A way to grow.

We want to equip you with some tools to develop as a fully devoted follower of Christ. As an individual, family, or part of a Small Group, you can find tools for growth here.

Your family will enjoy:

  • A place for kids.

Each weekend in Kidzworks, newborns through 5th graders, learn the truth about who God is and who they are because of Him through age-specific lessons, crafts, songs, and trusted adult leadership.

  • We also have a night just for teens!

Central Youth meets every Wednesday night for students in 6th through 12th grade. Loaded with student-led worship, games, age-specific teaching, and small groups, CY addresses real issues teens face each and every day.

What To Wear

We don’t really have a dress code. Come as you are. Most of us are dressed pretty casually, so if you show up in a three-piece suit, you might feel a little overdressed. We care about you, not what you wear.

Kidzworks

Children from newborns to fifth grade get to experience the love of God in Kidzworks. Our volunteers help every child feel welcome and help them to learn about God at their age level. Kidzworks is a secure building, and you can be easily reached if your child needs you through the paging system on our video screens in the Dream Center auditorium.

Service Length

We try to keep our services right at 60 to 70 minutes, although we might go over by a few minutes here and there. Our hope is that you'll be so engaged that you'll never find yourself looking at your watch.

Music

One way we worship God is through music and song. Feel free to jump in and participate. We all just offer our voices together to God and express our love and worship to Him. If you have musical gifts and would like to be a part of leading worship, click here!

Communion

Communion is offered each week. Trays are passed with small pieces of bread and cups of grape juice in them. These things represent Jesus dying on the cross for us, and help us to remember and celebrate Him each week.

Prayer

At different times, people on stage may spend some time talking with God. We get to listen in, reflect on our lives, and connect with God through prayer. If you need the touch of God in any area of your life, go and share that need with one of the people wearing a Prayer Team badge, and they will be happy to pray with you.

Baptism

During our time together, there may be a baptism in a small pool of water on the stage area during our service. This is a special time for people who want to publicly express that they have committed themselves to follow Jesus.

Decision Time

Decision Time is at the end of the service. We usually worship for a couple of songs after the message is finished. During this time if you need to make some kind of a decision you can come to the front where our staff and volunteer leaders are happy to help you with whatever your decision may be:  To accept Christ as Lord and Savior, for prayer, or any other decision God may lead you to make.

Offering

We know a lot of people are worried about whether or not we're after your money. We're not. Our members support the work we're doing generously, out of the overflow of what God is doing in their lives. We're just honored to have you. When the offering buckets are passed, please feel free to pass on it, or better yet, just drop in your filled-out Connect Card, so that we can get to know you better.
